RECIPE : CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES πŸͺ

Hello everyone!

So I thought that I'd get back into blogging, after what must be the millionth time and what better way than to start with this cookie recipe that creates bloomin' gorgeous tasting (& looking) cookies. I won't lie to you, this picture is making me crave them but sadly they're all gone now 😭. But if it's making you crave them too then you'll probs want the recipe, so keep reading!

πŸͺ CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES πŸͺ

 OPTIONAL WITH SMARTIES!

I N G R E D I E N T S 🍫

  • 125g caster sugar
  • 125g soft butter
  • 1 large egg
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 175g bar of chocolate (milk, dark or white- whatever your preference, I used milk!)
  • Packet of smarties (these are optional, I wanted to use them to decorate but mixed them in with the cookie batter and didn't have any left over to put on top - so if you want to do this I would recommend using two packets)
  • Packet of chocolate chips (1 packet)
Oven Temperature: 180 degrees / Gas mark 4
Serves: 9 large cookies / 9+ if you make them smaller than I did! :)

R E C I P E πŸ’ž

+ Cream the butter and the sugar together until light and fluffy
+ Add the egg and the vanilla extract and mix those in together
+ Sieve the flour into the mix and fold it in (to do this I used a metal spoon.)
+ Take half of the chocolate and cut it up into small pieces.
+ Add the chocolate chips to the cookie mix along with the chocolate pieces that you've just cut up. Optional: Add smarties into the mix here as well - I did but you can't see them!
+ Spoon the cookies out onto a baking tray (I made quite big cookies, so I was able to make 9 but if you want smaller cookies then you can probably make some more.)
+ Cut the rest of the chocolate into small chunks and press them into the top of the cookies. Optional: If you want your cookies to look colourful use some extra smarties and press them into the top of the cookies as well.
+ Place the cookies in the oven for about 8-10 minutes.
+ Take out of the oven and leave to cool... and enjoy!

I hope you enjoy making and eating them just as much as I did!
