Monday is most definitely my favourite day of the week.

And you won't hear many people saying that, but I love it because it's my one day of the week to myself, where I can do whatever I want, although last Monday did feature a lot of tidying my room up and cleaning it which isn't that fun, but I did manage a little trip to Boots, and Superdrug and Primark, so that was nice. And this Monday, here I am writing about it, because guess who's good at delaying things?? *Me*.

Last week, I went for a little shop, only a little one but I did manage to hit up the NYX counter which was a lovely treat because I haven't had time before to stop and browse and normally it's really busy but there was no one there, so I was free to browse.

The ONLY thing that lets Boots down in Northampton is that it's counters are all so messy! They hardly ever seem to be stocked up and there's generally foundation and other products that have gone everywhere and it looks so untidy. But that didn't stop me from looking it just made me kinda sad...

The first thing I picked up was this Liquid Eyeliner from Natural Collection which was £1.99. Somebody had it at a party and I just thought it was really good, there's a lot more product that the one I normally buy from Collection 2000. The only thing I have struggled to get used to has been the longer brush, only because I'm used to a shorter brush with a slightly more sturdier nib, but practice makes perfect, so I'll get back to you on this one...

The next things I picked up were from the NYX counter, and I got these three lip products and a white eyeshadow base. The white eyeshadow base I absolutely love, it  shows up eyeshadow colours a lot better and brighter than without the base. And the lip products are insane, they just don't go anywhere, they literally don't move. I also love the colours, I mean hello autumn, am I right?

I got two soft matte lip creams in the shades Copenhagen and San Paulo, and I got a Liquid Suede Cream lipstick in the shade Kitten Heels. I freakin' love all of them, so much!

Then I headed over to Max Factor where I picked up the 2000 Calorie mascara, before picking up my absolute fave Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I love the Lash Sensational mascara for my top lashes but find the brush is a little too big for my bottom lashes and I found the same with the 2000 Calorie mascara, great for top lashes but not so great for the little lashes, which is fine obvs.

Then I headed to Superdrug, where I absolutely adore the make-up counters because they're so cool and clean and tidy and a really good design . But this is where I was picking things up to build my make-up kit. For those of you who don't know, I am a beauty therapist and often do a lot of wedding make-overs (in fact I had one this Saturday just gone, which was my first one as a freelance beauty therapist/make-up artist) and make-overs for my mum and sister too. When I was in college we got given a make-up kit, that was okay, but normally before I have used a combination of my make-up and either my sister's or my mum's. So I've started to build up a kit, and I know they're only drugstore products but I can't afford high-end make-up yet, sob.

So I picked up this setting spray from L'Oreal, and these three Collection Lasting Perfection concealers in these shades Cool Medium 02, Warm Medium 03 and Dark 04.

And also just added in a Tanya Burr Cosmetics palette because I swatched the shades in the shop and basically fell in love, but this is more for me although I did use it at the weekend because it's just so pretty. The packaging kind of put me off before, I won't lie to you, but the actual product itself is really nice and I should have not judged the product on it's packaging, and it is kinda cute. I just thought it looked a little bit young - but I should have checked the products out before judging and it's my own fault for not realising this sooner. Soz, TB.

So that's today's post, let me know if you've been loving any new beauty products.
See you soon,

I am so ready to get all of the cosy jumpers and boots out of my wardrobe and start wrapping up warm as the weather gets colder. And also who doesn't love a throwback photo from Winter/Autumn 2011/12? Anyway.. unfortunately because we live in England, the weather's pretty messed up and it seems at the minute sometimes it can still be quite warm. So I'm always unsure, should I go for summer clothes or autumn clothes, because what clothes are inbetweeny clothes? I don't know.

But anyway here's a list of things I love about the autumnal months:

Dark Lips (Rimmel 107.. hiya babe)
Hallowe'en - I wish it was bigger in the UK :(
Mustard Jumpers/Coats
Boots (knee high, ankle, all of them)
Cosy jumpers in every single autumn shade ever
Being able to get away with brown lipstick
Crispy leaves on the ground
The feeling that it's closer to Christmas
Not being so sweaty at work doin massage all day
Getting the winter wardrobe ready
Cosy pajamas because who wants to be cold getting out of bed in the morning
Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and marshmellows
The way the air just feels so fresh and crisp and ah the weather in general
AMERICAN HORROR STORY i just hope it's better than season 5 was
Watching scary movies as it gets closer to Hallowe'en
Rainy days that you can spend inside cuddled up watching films
everything being pumpkin flavoured
being able to light candles and have cute fairy lights on
Going to Fright Night

That's what I love about Autumn, let me know what you love!
See you soon,

I know it's been a very long time since I last posted. And I'm not here to make any excuses for myself because I know so many lovely ladies that work full time and still manage to post 2-5 times a week, maybe even more, and run a Youtube channel, as well as keeping up with their social media. So no excuses. Only the fact that I'm too busy at the cinema, at work, with Chris, or just eating. Normally can be found anywhere near food.

And also doesn't this picture just get you so excited for Christmas? All of the Christmas feels.

So basically, life has taken over from the blog. I've had a couple of months out of blogging and now I feel ready to hit the keyboard again and start blogging a lil bit more regularly. I started posting properly on this blog in October and because Autumn is one of my favourite seasons and I just get so inspired, plus Hallowe'en and Christmas are two of my favourite times of year.

I love my blog, and I love blogging and I love meeting loads of lovely bloggers and being part of the community, and I'm not really sure why I've neglected that part of my life recently. How many version of the word 'blog' can you use in a sentence then, huh?

In summary, this has all happened since the end of May.

** I got promoted at work to a Senior Therapist.
** I went on holiday with Chris and his family to Cornwall.
** It was my mum's birthday on the 1st August.
** It was my birthday on the 20th August and I turned 20, in the second decade now don'tcha know?!
** I have seen so many films at the cinema, I can't even count them anymore and it's one of my favourite places to go. (Thank you Cineworld Unlimted card 😍)
** I'm now really excited for Hallowe'en & Christmas because it's September now, and I do love Autumn and a good berry lipstick.
** Chris surprised me with a holiday to Barcelona for my birthday, and we're going in October!! Couldn't have been more shocked about this when I opened it! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ
** I've also been playing around with the layout of my blog and changing little bits and I'm finally really happy with it.
And I think that's about it. Anything worth writing down I'm sure, everything else is less interesting, probably work or food related.

But there's a little summary of what I've been up to. From now onwards, I'll keep you updated. With regular blog posts. Not gonna promise anything in case it doesn't happen, but it should as long as I sort my life out, plan things properly and get my shit together.

Love, Danielle xx
