#100dayreset | iiaa reset your routine | DAY 60

It's no surprise that I missed Day 30 really, was it? πŸ˜‚ the actual story of my life is a disorganised, crazy mess – and recently my skincare's been a bit of a mess too. I wasn't actually going to admit this,  buuuut since this gal's all about honesty, I did go out at the weekend and once I got back to Chris' house I ate my chicken wrap from McDonald's and just crawled into bed... no cleanser, no toner, no moisturiser... I slept in my make-up. Now this is definitely a huge no-no, like really, just don't do it. You will wake up feeling gross and my skin is now covered in spots 😭 If you do sleep in your make-up you better have a really good excuse. Like a wicked night out. Like me, and I was just really tired...

Read on for my 60 Day Update!

p.s. please ignore my eyebrows they're due for a wax after trying to grow them our for ages! and my lashes are also due for infills! πŸ‘€

a letter to fourteen year old me, love twenty year old me

to Danielle (fourteen year old me),

I know that growing up seems scary right now, and I know that you don't know what you want to do when you're older. Come on DB, you're never going to make it as an actress, and you know what? That's okay because you're really not cut out for acting or dancing (or singing but you do still try in the car on your own). And unfortunately you haven't made it onto the TV either apart from when mum sent your picture into Sunday Brunch. In six years time, you'll have a job that you LOVE. But you won't know that you want to do it until you're seventeen, which is a whole three years away. When you leave school you'll think you want to make it as a journalist, unfortunately that doesn't happen babe but you do start a blog so there's that, basically a journalist. Just a bit less work and more hobby.

Don't worry about any of the girls that are bullying you at school, when you leave school, I promise you won't ever see them again, and they won't really matter. But do make the most of school and the best bits because you really start to miss education (I know it seems impossible!!) and having all of your best friends around you every single day. I know you can't believe it, but trust me on this.

When you go to college, you're going to make an amazing group of friends, and you still talk to them even now in the future, in fact you met up with one of your closest friends just the other day. And then we you move colleges, you make another group of amazing friends and some of them you don't speak to as much as you like, but you still have THE best time when you're all together.

Also I hate to tell you this but the fringe is gone. Nu-uh. It is no more. No more gappy fringes for you DB, although now you have baby hairs that grow and stick straight up but we just deal with it, we've grown them basically all out now – you gotta stop cutting them πŸ˜‚. You will also grow to love make-up and beauty and looking after yourself a bit more, I think that studying Beauty Therapy really helps. Oh and we get braces, which is worth it at the end, just make sure to wear your retainer, when you're older you kind of always seem to forget and it's only when mum reminds you, do you actually put in it.

And you know how you never wear nail varnish? You're now obsessed and change the colour every week (that's okay, it's part of your job to have nice nails) and you know how you wear a little bit of make-up but not much right now? Hun, you come a looong way in terms of make-up by the time you get to twenty. You discover primers, contouring, and you master the cat-eye flick that almost becomes your identity and you just look silly without it. You also discover eyelash extensions and spray tans and they will also become part of who you are. You can't live without them both atm.

Oh, and lastly you'll meet Chris in two years time when you're sixteen but you won't know that you end up together and you've been together 2.5 years already when you're eighteen. So literally don't worry if you never meet and fall in love with Harry Styles - 'cause let's face it hun, was it ever gonna happen? I think even you can tell your chances are slim – and he does not look so great with long hair but you'll be pleased to know he cuts it short.

Enjoy life and just be you, and then you'll be alright.

You got a fun six years to look forward to DB.

Love, Danielle (twenty year old you) ♡

Starting a Scrapbook 🎨

So recently I decided to start a scrapbook, after one failed attempt in 2015 that didn't go to plan. I bought both scrapbooks from Hobbycraft and most of the added bits and bobs are also from Hobbycraft as well as The Range, because that is one of my all time favourite shops! I've started the scrapbook from our last holiday altogether as a family, which was in 2014 and we went to Furteventura. Although I've bought a black and a white scrapbook, I've started with the white one because I think colours show up more vibrant and it's easier to doodle and write over the pages. I will definitely use the black one for something, but for 2014-2016 it will all be in the white book.

The most fun thing about starting a scrapbook has been looking back on all of my memories and being as creative as I want to be. I'm such a hoarder of tickets, flyers, postcards, little tokens of different trips and they've all been living in a rather boring box over the past four years - so it's lovely to display them altogether.

I saw Gabriella from velvetgh0st doing a scrapbook and that's where I got the inspiration from -aside from the failed scrapbook in 2015 (let's not talk about that πŸ˜‚) and so I decided to do it.

I will definitely be sharing pages from my scrapbook on my blog over time, because we all know here that it takes me a little while to upload and edit photos and actually write blogposts, just because I'm a completely rubbish gal at doing things on time and on schedule.

Let me know if there's any good scrapbooking websites that you know of and if you too are doing or have done a scrapbook, I'd love to get some more ideas and inspiration!

Love, Danielle ♡
